Fish hooks

Example = 1989,0601.225 http://www.britishmuseum.org/research/search_the_collection_database/search_object_details.aspx?objectid=3306753&partid=1
Date = so few have been found it is very difficult to date fish hooks
Distribution = Britain

There are no recorded Bronze Age fish hooks on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database but a number of single and double fish hooks are held in the British Museum's collection. Sadly the provenance of these fish hooks is not accurate. It is also worth noting that these are very similar to modern equivalents, and thus, owing to their ubiquitous nature, it is very difficult to date them accurately.
