I am the PI of the FLAME project (Framing the Late Antique and early Mediterranean Economy; https://coinage.princeton.edu/), a digital humanities project of the Princeton University Numismatic Collection and the Committee for the Study of Late Antiquity. FLAME reconstructs the early medieval economy CE 325-725 in Western Afro-Eurasia. It supplies hard data about the early medieval economy, in the form of hundreds of thousands of coins, to contribute to the scholarly understanding of key historical questions in this period such as the fall of the Roman Empire, the rise of Islam and the origins of the European economy. We are currently working on gathering and organizing circulation data, and while we are using old PAS data we hope to gain access to the updated PAS data as represented in the PAS website.
Because of our spatial scope we do not need very precise spatial data within the UK (coordinates can be off by a kilometer or even more), but we would request access to some of the finds that are inaccessible with the basic account, such as https://finds.org.uk/database/hoards/unavailable/id/3020.
