Roman weaponry

Principal investigator: Liam
Level: External project (UK only)

I am currently working with Prof Richard Hingley (Durham) to scope out a project relating to Roman weaponary findspots and how these can be used in GIS spatial analysis to determine military movements through the landscape, and the relationship with various Roman and indigenous locations. The aim of the scoping exercise is to determine if there is enough relevant data in the PAS, after which we will be looking to secure funding to develop this into a formal project. At this time, I would anticipate the scoping exercise and funding process to take around a year (COVID dependent), with the actual project probably taking 3 years although it is a bit early to be firm in the timescales.
