Bronze Age riverine metal deposits

Principal investigator: Liam
Level: Masters degree

I am working with my supervisor Henry Chapman at the University of Birmingham (h.chapman@bham.ac.uk), investigating the apparent East/West divide in the nature of Bronze Age metal deposition in river contexts.
For my research, I am looking for metal items that have been found in direct association with the Rivers Thames, Trent, and Severn. I hope from this to highlight that people in the West of England were depositing metalwork items in different water contexts such as lakes, I then hope to expand my study to investigate lake depositions.

This study will be undertaken from the present-day until the 28th of August 2021.
