Understanding social identity in Viking York and its hinterlands: The role of dress fittings and jewellery

I will be looking at Viking dress fittings, including jewellery and accessories in order to look at how social identity was displayed, and whether Scandinavian styles were more prominent in Urban or rural areas. I will use the PAS data identify any patterns within the landscape regarding the role of displaying identity.
