How hoards can change our understanding of the later fourth and fifth centuries of Roman Britain

Principal investigator: Liam
Level: Masters degree

I'm writing a pre-set essay for my Master of Studies in Classical Archaeology. I'm looking at how PAS data, combined with our knowledge of the Hoxne and Patching hoards, changes our understanding of the later fourth and fifth century Britain. I'm combining the distributions of coinage and the archaeology of villas and other Roman sites to construct a clearer image of the 'end' of Roman Britain. Being able to look at the data myself and isolate the patterns I need, would enable to have a better focus.

I would need access until 5th May 2013.
