Work on pinhead types and profiles on a site basis

Development of ideas about pinhead type profiles and metalwork (pins-/strap-ends/coins) profiles for specific sites. When these are set against profiles produced from PAS records(discounting data from the specific sites) for the same area of the country interesting matches are seen.

The specific sites concerned have been systematically surveyed by detector and excavation and so this all adds up to valuable validation of the PAS database.

My work also involves a national study of pinhead types and ,by comparison with nos. of strap-ends, regional density. Pinhead type dating is also proving possible .I would hope to submit a paper to ThanERAS(E Riding Arch. Soc.) Journal next year with a synopsis for Med. Arch
