Using our images

The Portable Antiquities Scheme's ethos is based around the concept of sharing data as freely as it possibly can within the constraints of the funding agreements. At the moment, this means that the entire dataset is licensed under a Creative Commons By-Attribution license unless otherwise stated.

To use our images all we request that you do is:

1. Attribute the images as "Courtesy of the Portable Antiquities Scheme"
2. If the use is for traditional publication, let us have a copy for our library (send to us at PAS&T, The British Museum, Great Russell Street, London, WC1B 3DG)
3. If the use is for online distribution, then just send us a link and please link to us at finds.org.uk
