Short profile:

Claire originally trained in Restoration and Conservation before deciding she would like to understand more about the life of the humans producing the objects she was attempting to save from decay and studied Medieval Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. After joining the PAS she completed an MA in Public Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology during her lunchbreaks!

Claire has worked in several posts in archaeological & cultural sector education (working on vocational qualification and National Occupational Standard development), and resources and grant management, including a very useful stint as finance assistant at the British Council. All this previous experience fed nicely into her current role in the PAS.

As Resources Manager, based at the British Museum, Claire has had over 13 years experience of supporting and guiding the members and work of the Portable Antiquities Scheme and proving guidance to members of the public. Claire manages the budget and organises activities as best she can. She also manages the PASt Explorers project - a five year project that started in 2014 funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to enhance the PAS's volunteer programme.
