Fixed term for 6 months at 37hpw or 12 months at 18.5 hpw.

We have an exciting opportunity to assist the Suffolk Finds Recording Officers to record archaeological objects found by members of the public as part of the national Portable Antiquities Scheme.

This role involves recording objects onto the national PAS database, fostering links with metal detectorists and engaging in outreach to the public.

This post also offers on the job training to allow the applicant to begin to become expert in archaeological metal small finds and in Suffolk’s archaeology.

You will have a degree in archaeology or related subject and some prior experience in working with archaeological finds.
